The Greater Manchester Walking Festival is here!

Greater Manchester Walking Festival

During the month of May, over 300 guided walks will be taking place to celebrate the Greater Manchester Walking Festival.

The walking festival has grown considerably from previous years and offers a wide range of walks. Walks are taking place across all ten districts of Greater Manchester. To find out more and get involved in one of 300 guided walks across Greater manchester, have a look at the brochure http://ow.ly/nLYK30a9uL1

Research shows that physical activity can help us to recover physical function and have a positive impact on our wellbeing. It can also help people overcome some of the side effects of cancer and its treatments, such as fatigue & weight gain.

Walking is also a great way to meet new people and explore new places, so now’s the time to put your best foot forward and see what walking can offer you!

The Bolton Macmillan Walking Group is for anyone affected by cancer, including carers, family and friends.  The walks take place on the first Friday of every month at 1pm. We meet at different locations across Bolton and all walks are approximately 30 minutes.

Our next walk is Friday 5th May 1pm at Curley’s Fishery. Meeting Point: At the top of Curley’s car park, along Wallsuches, off Chorley Old Road, BL6 6PP.
