Bolton Cancer Champions Free Training Programme

Bolton Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service, Bolton CVS and GM Cancer Champions have teamed together to focus on a Cancer Awareness Programme, raising awareness about Key Cancer Messages and outlining what support is available for those affected by cancer in Bolton.  A Cancer Champion is someone working in Bolton that would like the opportunity to help spread the word and raise awareness in their community about cancer.

As you are in contact with people as part your role we would like to invite you to a FREE training session, to help you:

  • Raise awareness of cancer signs and symptoms in your community
  • Signpost people affected by cancer to local support centres/groups

 

The training will cover:

  • Knowledge of cancer signs and symptoms
  • Importance of early diagnosis,
  • Local information and support groups and how to signpost to relevant services

 

Dates as follows:

  • Wednesday 13th June 2018, 9.30am – 3.30pm, Conference Room A & B, Bolton Hospice, Queens Park Street, Bolton. BL1 4QT
