Bolton Macmillan Walk & Talk Group (* As this is a longer walk than we usually do, we ask that you book your place in advance if you intend to join us and also discuss it with one of the walk leaders *).

Please join us for a FREE medium to slow pace walk which lasts around 30 minutes.

We would be delighted to welcome anyone who has been affected by cancer, including carer`s, family and friends.

It doesn’t matter if you are recovering from cancer or being treated for cancer. Walking in the outdoors can help with both your body and mind.

All you need is a conformable pair of walking shoes. The venue changes from month to month so please make sure that you check the calendar from week to week.

No need to book – just turn up! If the weather is poor then it may be worth a call to us to check if the walk is still going ahead. We will do out absolute best to provide any updates on social media but this is not always possible.

This month’s walk is as follows:

Location – Turton and Entwistle Reservoir.

Time – 13.00.

Route – Approximately – 3 miles.

Meeting point – The care park at the bottom of Batridge Road (off Greens Arms Road). BL7 0NF. The walk is generally flat. Please note that the car park is pay and display but the machine has been broken for a while).

Facilities – Toilet facilities and refreshments available at The Jolly Carter (BL3 1BW). * This is at cost to you but you do not need to purchase any food or drink if you do not wish to do so.
