Walk and Talk 2021
September 17 @ 1:00 pm
We would be delighted to welcome anyone who has been affected by cancer, including carers, family and friends, to come along and join us.
Whether you’re being treated for cancer or you’re recovering, walking can help to keep your mind healthy as well as your body. It’s free and fun – all you need is a pair of comfortable walking shoes!
Walks are at a medium/slow pace and last for about 30 minutes.
Location: Rivington (Longer walk)
Route: Approx. 3.5 miles
Meeting Point: The Information Centre near the Great House Barn (BL6 7SB), which is often referred to as the Lower Barn. The walk is one of our occasional longer walks and is approximately 3.5 miles long. The paths we use on this walk are fairly even, but there is a certain amount of uneven ground with some tree roots to be aware of. The path can sometimes be a bit muddy, so please make sure you are wearing suitable footwear.
*Toilet facilities and refreshements available at Rivington Tearooms
If you are interested in joining us on a walk please contact Hannah to book your place (booking is essential due to Covid restrictions).
