Energy Costs


Keeping warm when you’re affected by cancer can be a big worry. We know 1 in 3 people affected by cancer feel the cold more.

There are things that you and your energy provider can do to help keep your energy costs down. If you contact your energy provider they will be able to discuss what support packages they may be able to put in place to help you.

There are also several schemes and grants you my be eligible to apply for. These are explained in Macmillan’s managing your energy costs booklet, which you can see below.



If you need further help and assistance we recommend calling the national Macmillan helpline and speaking to the Macmillan energy advice team who will be able to explain what you could apply for.
